TITLE: Bittern peeking out of the reeds
INFO: "A few frames on from the previous image and the Bittern had moved in closer to the hide but consequently was mainly hidden from view behind the reeds in front of the hide. Occasionally its head would pop out above the reeds - periscope-fashion - for a look around, giving the opportunity for a head-shot, provided there was a clear view through the reeds....." February 2012 (Ivy North Hide) TECH: Nikon D700, Nikkor 200-400mm f4 zoom lens at 400mm, ISO 1600, f5.6, 1/750 sec. Lens rested on hide window shelf. Cropped image about 20% of frame (from full-frame FX-format image). |
