TITLE:
| Canada Goose swimming on calm water with reflection
|
INFO:
| "A lovely warm spring day with light southerly winds, and there was almost mirror-calm water in front of the north-facing Tern Hide. I love working with reflections (as can be seen by other images in this showcase!) but there wasn't much going on, so I took full advantage when this female Canada Goose swam slowly by into an area of really calm water, getting this quite nice shot of it with a good reflection.
In these circumstances it's a good idea to take quite a few shots as, no matter how mirror-calm the water looks, the slightest ripple in the water can lead to some very odd-looking reflections - one of the other shots taken has the bird's reflected head almost completely flat! and in another the reflection has a distractingly wiggly neck."
