TITLE:  Coot running across water

INFO: "A very entertaining bird, the Coot. Nearly always in dispute with it's neighbours, no matter how far away they are! This one must have run/flapped nearly fifty metres across the bay at Goosander Hide to threaten another one nearer to the hide, giving me plenty of time to get onto it with the camera - the fast shutter speed froze it in mid-run and the fast framing rate (8 fps) of the camera ensured I got a variety of poses of the bird as it whizzed and spattered over the water, which was nice and calm giving the added dimension of a good reflection, which I always love. A good pose in this particular shot, really showing the speed and energy of the bird and perhaps also its aggressive intent - a bird on a mission!. No fight ensued, just a bit of threat posturing."
