| "Photographed on the shore just to west of the Tern Hide. I'd been photographing Shelducks fighting and chasing further away on the lake (see other images) - hence the high ISO with high shutter speed - when this pair of Coots which had been mooching around in the water nearby decided to come ashore, seemingly to mate. I got on to them quickly just as the male mounted the female, which assumed a very submissive posture with its head and beak tucked tight in below its chest."
