TITLE:  Bittern wading out from reeds into shallow weedy water

INFO: "At last a different pose!!. Continuing on from previous image, the Bittern had hidden itself away again in the middle of the main reedbed but about an hour later was disturbed by an incoming Grey Heron which then pushed the Bittern back towards the north channel where, fortunately, I just caught sight of it before it came out to cross the channel. This time it began to cross with its head held up in a much more alert position, finally giving me a different pose to its usual hunched sneaking-around look! - and in nice afternoon sunlight too.

As it crossed, it fleetingly stretched out its neck a little more and assumed this graceful pose, which also just about gave me a bit of clear reflection of its head to work with. Lovely job! Shortly after it had crossed the channel the Grey Heron also appeared in the channel (see Grey Heron images) and gave me a few bonus shots."
