TITLE: | Coot feeding chick
|
INFO: | "I love these Coot chicks when they're very young with their bright red-orange heads - heads as bald as a coot!. Why they should have such colours is not yet known, but I guess there must be a reason. The adult Coot itself has a wonderful crimson-coloured eye often only visible in a photograph when sunlight is on it. Always enjoyable watching these Coots feeding their chicks, close to the Goosander Hide."
