TITLE:  Bittern wading in shallow water

INFO: "Same occasion as previous image, as the Bittern continues its walk away from the tree and towards the wooded bank to the north of the hide. Here it has left the bank and begun to wade through the shallow water.

Very difficult to get a completely clear view of the bird because, as can be seen, there were many twigs, reeds, and grasses sticking up in the foreground, and many intrusive ones in the background - a couple of really annoying ones near the head have been digitally erased.

I love the intent look on the Bittern's face as it strides purposefully through the shallow water, moving relatively quickly as well.

As before, I've cropped in quite a bit from the original full-frame vertical capture for this more impactful web image."

February 2011 (Ivy North Hide)
