TITLE: Bittern looking for fish
INFO: "Same day as previous images, but much later, in the afternoon. After a couple of hours of very few sightings of any Bitterns, at last they showed. This is the north Bittern that finally made it along to one of its favoured fishing spots just outside the north window of the hide, giving me the chance to get a few shots of it such as this one where the bird is wading around the edges of the reeds intently looking for fish." March 2012 (Ivy North Hide) TECH: Nikon D700, Nikkor 200-400mm f4 zoom lens at 400mm, ISO 1100, f4, 1/1000 sec. Lens rested on hide window sill.
